Valdez has some of the best wing shooting in all of North America.  It has the largest populations of the most unique and most highly sought after trophy birds, such as the Harlequin and Barrow’s Goldeneye.   During our trips you will have the opportunity to bag upwards of sixteen species of ducks and geese.  On most trips seven to nine species is very common.  We not only offer high quality duck hunts at a great rate, but we also offer them in one of the most beautiful locations in the world!

Our main targeted species on our Valdez  hunts are harlequin, barrows goldeneye, black  scoter, surf scoter, old squaw, common mergansers, bufflehead, great scuap, and  red-breasted mergansers.  You will also  have chances at harvesting a variety of other species depending on the season’s  weather.

Along with the waterfowl found in Valdez we offer the option  to head to the mountains for a day and hunt ptarmigan in the mountain passes  around Valdez.  This is a great way to spend  the day if you have harvest all the waterfowl you came for.

Your days will begin with a filling hunter’s breakfast before you depart for a full-day hunt in the beautiful Port of Valdez with one of our experienced guides. We run two groups at a time with a guide for each group. You will be out from the opening of shooting time to the close in order to ensure bagging your trophies. Each day you will hunt a different area depending on the species you are targeting. We have a variety of hunting techniques that we use from shore blinds to layout boats. We are very mobile and work hard at getting the birds you are after. You will enjoy a full lunch aboard the boat and when you return in the evenings, explore the quaint town of Valdez with one of the AWA cars while having dinner at one of the many fine restaurants in town.
