We at Alaska Wildfowl are helping out one of our past clients with a fundraiser for their fire house. This is a great time to support these firefighter and have a chance at winning tow great hunts!

In much of Alaska the summer solstice is a big deal, and in Fairbanks the city throws a party. From noon to midnight 1st ave through 3rd ave downtown is shutdown to traffic and the tents setup. Three different stages for bands, food booths galore, gift stands and some fun games of the kids.

- “C-Haven”
This trip is really the start of summer in Alaska! Heading to Valdez on June 6th for some more shrimp and some general relaxing fun!
The trip down was not too exciting this time. Sadly the scenery becomes normally when you see it all the time, that is one of the reasons it is great bring people out in Alaska. It reminds you how amazing the country is and how you felt the first time you saw it.
Thankfully the pot puller got installed for this trip, so life was going to be easy as far as shrimping goes. I also spent some of the weekend redoing all of the electronics on “seaducksion”. She got a nice new lowrance color chart plotter installed and all the wiring updated. You got to love open boats and salt water, ever couple of season you just need to redo it all.
