We had a pretty exciting season here at Alaska Wildfowl.

As I sit here sipping on a little Jonnie Walker, it hit me. Duck Season Is Done! CRAP! For the last 144 days we have been in duck season here in Alaska, I have thought of nothing else but the next alarm. I personally spent 118 of those days hunting ducks, and the majority of that guiding ducks. I think I did pretty good staying on the water.

So now, not having to wake up tomorrow morning, I wanted to stop and thank everyone for making this possible. We have a lot of supporters on here and a lot of people that come visit our great state with us. Without the hunters I could not be out there doing something I love to do! We made it to the island. Got to help wraps presents for all the kids on the island while on the flight. The pilot wore his Santa suit and delivered them when we landed!! Very cool.

The last group has left Valdez. We are now packing for the next adventure. One of Jeff’s harlies is making the flight to the lower 48

We had a great harlie hunting day!

He has arrived. Season can start.

Well it is here.  The start of the divers and sea ducks.  We had an early hunt this season with a couple of guys looking for some of our geese.  It was an experience none of us will forget.  We had about 300 dusky geese come into the decoys in one wave.  Not too bad.  Each of them got thier bird for the wall. 

After that we through in some good old fashion barrows and our first harlequin of the season.  Not what these boys were looking for, but I think I convertected them to the dark side of divers!
